Heri Kashema, the Commercial Director of m&i Forum, an event for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions tourism industry, has expressed his “pride” in hosting the event in Georgia, the National Tourism Administration of the country said on Wednesday.
I am very proud that we are holding the Forum in Georgia. We considered the advice of many Europeans to hold the Forum in the country. Last year’s event in Georgia was a great success, and we are confident that this year’s event will be very successful”, the body cited Kashema as saying.
We have brought many companies from all over Europe to Georgia, and I hope that many event organisers will choose Georgia as their preferred destination”, he added.

Participants of the Forum were offered an information tour by the Tourism Administration enabling potential customers from Europe, service provider companies and business tourism representatives to explore historic districts of Tbilisi and experience Georgian culture, architecture, cuisine and wine.
International attendees also shared their positive impressions of the country.
Mark Green, a representative of the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, noted the importance of hosting the Forum in the Georgian capital.
I represent the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London's largest events venue at Westminster. Hosting the Forum in Tbilisi provides the best opportunity to connect buyers and suppliers. The organisers selected Georgia as one of the top destinations. I was really impressed with what I saw - it is a wonderful tourist destination with amazing hotels”, he said.
Ian Witkoff from the United Kingdom described the event as a “very good opportunity for hotels, suppliers and agencies to get to know the country and discover its potential".

Similarly, Giovanna Tosetto from Italy expressed her appreciation, saying the work done for hosting the Forum was “highly appreciated”.
I think Georgia is a very good tourist destination with great opportunities”, she added.
Launched on Monday, the event is attended by 83 local and international companies offering tourist services and brings together participants for 40 guaranteed meetings over three days in a B2B format in Tbilisi.
