Georgian PM congratulates entrants on university enrollment

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday congratulated university entrants on their enrollment in higher education institutions after successfully passing the unified national examinations.

“I congratulate more than 32,000 students on their admission to universities, as the beginning of one of the important periods of their lives. I believe your student life will be successful and interesting, offering you the opportunity to gain new knowledge, experiences, and friendships,” the PM emphasised.

The PM also highlighted the development of higher education as one of the “top priorities” of his Government.

“The development of university education and support of our youth is our special priority, and on behalf of the Government, I promise you full support on this path”, Kobakhidze added.

According to the National Assessment and Examination Centre, a total of 80,000 applicants were registered for the tests, including over 47,000 for the unified national exams, over 3,000 for a student grant competition, more than 10,000 for a general master's examination and more than 18,900 for teacher tests.
