Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said creating "broad development opportunities” for young individuals in the country should be a “special concern” of the Government, highlighting the education system for the purpose.
Georgia has exceptionally talented youth. The realisation of your talent is important, not only for your personal success, but also, first of all, for the development of our country”, Kobakhidze told students at an event where Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari presented his vision of youth policy to the public.

Our goal is to implement large-scale projects that provide access to international-standard education in the country. In our view, infrastructure of state universities should be qualitatively renewed [and] students [...] given a much wider opportunity to both acquire knowledge and realise their own interests”, he said.
Kobakhidze added the plan would also include development of sports.
One of the important parts of this plan will be the development of sports infrastructure, both in the capital and in the regions, [...] [for both] universities and [...] schools”, the PM said.
Kobakhidze also told the event the Government would also focus on “instilling a sense of national pride and civic responsibility” among young people. He added the Ministry would undertake “all necessary reforms at all levels of education” to achieve the goal.
