The Georgian Central Election Commission on Wednesday announced the rules for submission of party lists for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.
The election administration noted each party was entitled to submit a single party list with between 30 and 200 candidates for parliamentary seats.
It pointed out inclusion of a same person in different party lists was prohibited by regulations, and added candidates would have their registration prevented or cancelled if they are a member of another party registered in accordance with the law on political associations of citizens, or if other specified requirements are violated.
The statement also noted the party participating in the elections must also submit statements about party affiliation, filled in and signed by each candidate for membership of the legislative body.
The Commission added the electoral subjects must submit their lists to the Chair of the CEC no later than September 26.
