Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Chair of the Central Election Commission and visiting representatives of the Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights on Tuesday discussed the preparation process for the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2024.

The sides reviewed the procedures related to the introduction of electronic technology in elections, including a large-scale information campaign and voter education, with Kalandarishvili highlighting the advantages of wide-scale use of e-voting to ensure the elections are conducted under international and European standards, the Election Commission said.

It is important for us to maintain the highest standards of election integrity and transparency. Cooperation with ODIHR is crucial in this regard, and we are ready to provide verified and objective information to the representatives of the mission”, Kalandarishvili noted.

"We are focused on transparency and are open to constructive feedback that will help us improve our practices”, he added.
