Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Chair of the Central Election Commission of Georgia, on Monday presented legislative innovations and procedures related to the introduction of electronic technology in elections to the Government.
Kalandarishvili previewed the technology and preparation for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October, the Government Administration said.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze noted the electronic method of voting and implementation of related reforms would “contribute to even more transparency”.
Electronic elections will be held in Georgia for the first time this year, with the election administration carrying out an information campaigns both for the public and in institutions throughout the country.
