Georgian heavyweight freestyle wrestler Geno Petriashvili on Saturday claimed a gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
Petriashvili gained this victory after defeating his Iranian rival Amir Hossein Zare in the men’s 125 kg category finals with a score of 10:9.
The Georgian wrestler also secured a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
He also won the European championship in 2016 and 2020, and the world championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
