Georgian weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze has become a three-time Olympic champion after winning a gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games 2024 in Paris on Saturday.
The Georgian weightlifter claimed his gold medal after lifting 215 kg in the snatch and 255 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 470 kg.
Talakhadze has won three consecutive Olympics in the heaviest men’s weight category, with his first gold medal at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016 and the second gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The three-time Olympic Champion Talakhadze is also the seven-time World and European Champion and was named the Best Weightlifter of Europe 2023 for the third time this February.
