Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili on Tuesday became the first Georgian to win a medal for the country at the Summer Olympic Games.
The judo wrestler lost to his final rival, Japanese Takanori Nagase with a score of 11:0 in the final in the 81 kg category and claimed the silver medal.
Judoka Lasha Bekauri will on Wednesday compete in the round of 16 of the 90 kg category.
Georgia is represented by 28 athletes at the Olympics, with the Games running between July 26-August 11.
