Georgia’s NATO Ambassador Victor Dolidze on Tuesday said the country remained as the “most fundamental, close partner of NATO and its valuable support”.
Dolidze reviewed the first day of the bloc’s Summit in Washington and the Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili’s meeting with Javier Colomina, its Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
We had a meeting with Javier Colomina, the special representative of NATO in our region, during which we discussed all topics, including increasing our defence capabilities, the use of these capabilities, as well as the political context and our future membership”, the Ambassador said.
Darchiashvili and Colomina on Tuesday highlighted “important topics” to be addressed within the Summit, emphasising the participation of the Georgian delegation as “another confirmation” of the “successful process” of the country's integration into the alliance.
