Georgia's foreign policy priorities and future plans, as well as the challenges facing the country, were discussed on Thursday between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the heads of the Georgian diplomatic missions in Europe and the United States at the annual Ambassadors’ Conference in Berlin.
The Head of the Government highlighted the “special importance” of the Georgian diplomatic missions in the international arena for “defending” the country’s interests, and thanked them for their work, the Government Administration said.
Kobakhidze assessed the Ambassadors’ Conference as an “important format” for meeting with Georgian ambassadors, providing a “good opportunity” for a detailed discussion on the country’s relevant issues and priorities of the foreign political agenda.
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili also made his comments regarding the Conference, noting that the gathering of Georgian diplomats in the European capital “has become a tradition” that is “crucial” for diplomatic coordination and for further strengthening bilateral relations with the country’s partners.
The Ambassadors’ Conference was attended by the heads of the Georgian diplomatic missions in Europe and the United States, as well as Georgia’s permanent representatives to the EU, NATO and other international organisations.
