Levan Izoria, the Georgian Ambassador to Germany, on Thursday highlighted the importance of the country's Ambassadors’ Conference in Berlin, which brings together the Georgian diplomatic representatives abroad, saying conducting the meeting in Germany was “symbolic” and a “political message” about Georgia's foreign policy.

It is symbolic that the [annual] meeting of the Ambassadors’ Conference is [held] in Berlin. This is a political message regarding [Georgia’s] main foreign policy course. This policy is unwaveringly connected with our country’s integration into the European Union”, he noted.

Izoria also highlighted the main task to “strengthen” cooperation with Georgia’s strategic partners and execute the “major” foreign policy message which was “publically” reiterated by the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze not once in relation to opening negotiations with the EU, adding the “mobilisation” of the heads of the Georgian diplomatic missions was related to this main priority.

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze also attended the annual meeting of the heads of the Georgian diplomatic missions abroad, the Ambassadors’ Conference, in Berlin.
