Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Ilia Darchiashvili, the country's Foreign Minister, on Wednesday attended the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the country’s Foreign Minister and officials, who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, the Government Administration said.
The Head of the Georgian Government earlier today signed a book of condolences at the Iranian Embassy and expressed his condolences to Ambassador Mahmoud Adib and the Iranian people on the deaths of the officials.
Raisi, Amir-Abdollahian and accompanying politicians were killed after their helicopter crashed in poor weather in a mountainous area of Iran near the Azerbaijan border.
