Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Bertrand Walckenaer, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the French Development Agency, on Thursday reviewed prospects of future cooperation facilitated by the partnership agreement signed between the country and the AFD.
The Agency’s “essential” financial support for projects of “strategic importance” to the country was also emphasised, the Government press office said.
Kobakhidze thanked Walckenaer for the Foundation’s support for Georgia, noting AFD projects were in “perfect harmony” with areas prioritised by the Georgian Government, and added the “active cooperation” would continue.
Bilateral relations between Georgia and France were also discussed, along with the French Government's “significant support” in the process of European Union’s decision to grant Georgia its membership candidate status in December.
