Georgian ruling party head, US Ambassador discuss deepening ties

Irakli Garibashvili, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday met Robin Dunnigan, the United States Ambassador to the country, to discuss deepening the existing cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting discussed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership, the ruling party said, with the officials also reviewing “ongoing processes” in Georgia and the wider region.

They also highlighted security challenges and the “importance of peace and stability”.

Garibashvili extended his gratitude to Dunnigan for the US’ support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for “fruitful cooperation in many directions”.
