The Georgian Government’s Economic Council, led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, on Sunday discussed the ongoing economic projects and future plans, the Government Administration said.

At the meeting held at the Government Administration, the Council reviewed the findings of a study conducted in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank and the United Airports of Georgia for the development of a new airport in the country’s capital Tbilisi.

The conversation also touched on the development of the energy sector, including the new mechanisms for supporting renewable energy projects in the country, for which the Government would approve updated conditions in the “near future”.
