The economic growth progress in 2024 and the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Georgia were discussed on Saturday by the Georgian Government’s renewed Economic Council, led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Council, which met for the first time in an expanded format, also reviewed the projects and investment initiatives planned for the future, the Government Administration said.
The members of the Council agreed on certain structural reforms, later to be reflected in legislative initiatives.
By the decision of the PM, the members of the Parliament, representatives of the Government Administration and Business Ombudsman will also take part in the Council meetings.
Kobakhidze explained that expanding the composition of the Economic Council would improve coordination and promote the “involvement of all necessary parties in the discussion of important issues”.
