The Georgian women's national football team on Friday ended in a draw with Lithuania 2:2 in their first match of the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 qualifiers group stage, held at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium II in the country’s capital of Tbilisi.
The Georgian team led the first half of the game 2:1 with Teona Bakradze scoring two goals, while Ugnė Lazdauskaitė scored the first goal for her country.
The visiting team evened the score in the second half of the match with Rimantė Jonušaitė’s goal in the 59th minute.
The Georgian squad, coached by Iris Antman, will play their next game at the tournament against Belarus next week, with Group C1 also involving Cyprus.
