Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Matias Marttinen, the Chair of the Friendship Group with Georgia of the Finnish Parliament, on Friday discussed “positive dynamics” of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on the “productive relations” between friendship groups of the legislative bodies, the Georgian Parliament said.
The officials reviewed potential directions of bilateral cooperation, including in education and environmental protection.
The visiting delegation expressed its commitment to supporting Georgia on its European Union integration path.
The officials also underlined the significance of the opening of the Embassy of Finland in Georgia for a further bolstering of bilateral relations.
