Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Georgia's Ambassador to the European Union, on Thursday said the adoption of visa-free travel with the European Union, launched in 2017 on this day, was “one of the most significant achievements” on Georgia’s EU accession path.

In his comments marking the seventh anniversary of visa-free travel, Makharoblishvili noted it was “an excellent opportunity” for enhancing people-to-people ties and bringing Georgia “even closer” to the EU.
