Georgian para-athletes Akaki Jintcharadze and Giorgi Latsabidze became the gold medal winners of the Sharm El Sheikh 2024 Para Powerlifting World Cup on Sunday.
In the individual competition, Jintcharadze lifted 238 kg in the 107 kg weight category and took first place, while also claiming a bronze medal in three attempts.
Latsabidze also became the winner of the tournament after overcoming a total of 638 kg in three attempts in his respective weight category.
The Georgian national para powerlifting team won six medals at the tournament held in an Egyptian resort town.
