Georgian FM, US Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations discuss strategic partnership

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili on Thursday met Louis Bono, the Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations of the United States Department of State, to discuss strategic partnership between the two countries.
 

The officials highlighted the “firm support” of the US for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the Ministry said.
 

They also welcomed the “historic decision” of the European Council to grant Georgia the European Union membership candidate status in December, while also emphasising security challenges in the wider region and the world.

Bono expressed his support for the Georgian Government’s policy of peaceful resolution of the conflicts on the territory of the country.
