Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Wednesday said parliamentary cooperation and relations with Switzerland and Liechtenstein would be in focus of his ongoing visit to the countries this week.

In his remarks over the visits, Papuashvili said their main topic would be sharing experience and deepening cooperation between the countries.

“Today in Switzerland, we will have a meeting with leaders of the Parliament, as well as Government agencies. We will review the parliamentary dimension of our cooperation, as well as relations between the countries”, the lawmaker said.

“Over the years, a very fruitful partnership has developed between Switzerland and Georgia”, he continued.

Papuashvili highlighted Switzerland’s support towards Georgia’s territorial integrity, as well as its democratic and socio-economic transformation.
