The Georgia-United Kingdom cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats and the role of the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue format in further strengthening the partnership were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze and Mark Clayton, the British Ambassador to the country.

The officials focused on the strategic partnership and political relations between the two countries, the Government Administration said.

The meeting highlighted the “important” contribution of the UK to the strengthening of state institutions and democratic development in Georgia.

Kobakhidze thanked the United Kingdom for its “strong support” for Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and the policy of non-recognition of Georgia's Russian-occupied territories.
