Irakli Kobakhidze, the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday said the Georgian Government was “doing everything” to fulfil the nine priorities set out by the European Commission in November for the country’s European Union integration.
In his comments, Kobakhidze told Imedi TV participants of an upcoming Parliament working meeting next week - involving the ruling Georgian Dream party, domestic opposition and the third sector - would try to “reconcile their positions” on the formats that would be used to fulfil the priorities.
Kobakhidze said the Government would “make every effort” to fulfil each priority and said he hoped relevant parties - including domestic opposition - would become involved in their implementation “unlike past practice”.
