Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari, accompanied by his delegation, and Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University, along with the University’s academic council and faculty, on Thursday discussed the cooperation between the universities of the two nations.
At the meeting, held as part of the Georgian Minister’s visit to Baku, Amilakhvari noted that strengthening ties between higher education institutions of Georgia and Azerbaijan was crucial for “enhancing the partnership” between the countries.
The conversation touched on the implementation of collaborative and dual degree programmes, research initiatives, and the facilitation of student and faculty exchange projects between the two countries’ educational institutions, the Education Ministry said.
Babayev thanked Amilakhvari for his “commitment to partnership” with Azerbaijan and expressed hope for “active cooperation” with Georgian universities in the future.
