Deepening of education ties between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates was discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari and Abdulla Nasser Lootah, the Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange of the UAE.

The parties discussed Georgia’s ongoing reforms in education and matters of strengthening educational and scientific ties between the countries, the Georgian Education Ministry said.

On his part, Lootah extended his gratitude to Amilakhvari for cooperation and expressed willingness to implement joint educational and scientific projects. He also invited the Georgian official to attend the World Government Summit, scheduled to run between February 12-14 in Dubai.

Amilakhvari noted the Summit represented an “important platform” which would “greatly contribute” to strengthening the cooperation between the states.
