Chen Jing, the Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Council, on Thursday welcomed the ongoing visit of a delegation of the Georgian Dream ruling party to the country as “positive” for further enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the states.
During his exchange with delegation members, the Chinese official recalled his earlier visit to Georgia and “fond memories” of his time in the country, and stressed the visit “marks another significant stride toward fostering greater cooperation”.
The GD delegation, headed by the party chair Irakli Kobakhidze, launched the week-long visit to China on Monday, which comes following the signing of a strategic deal between the states last year.
