The Georgian national handball team on Monday defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 22:19 in their last match at the final stage of the European Men's Handball Championship in Germany.
The win marked Georgia's first in the competition in the team's first participation.

Goalkeeper Zurab Tsintsadze was named the player of the match, while Giorgi Tskhovrebadze became the top scorer of the game with seven goals.

The result followed the squad's tournament debut loss to the Netherlands with a score of 29:34.

They also conceded a 26:42 defeat to the Swedish counterparts, the event’s current champions, in their second game.
The Georgian team, coached by Tite Kalandadze, took third place in Group E, with the tournament running through January 28.
