The Georgian national handball team on Sunday made history by qualifying for their first European Men's Championship after defeating Hungary 31:30.
With the result, the team finished among the top four third-place finishers of the qualifying stage, earning a spot at the competition that will run next year.

“Hungary is one of the big teams, and the best team in our group. So I am very proud of our team for this victory. It is a miracle for us to join the best 24 teams of Europe”, said Tite Kalandadze, the head coach of Georgia.
Germany will host the European Championship between January 10-28, 2024.
