Tornike Rizhvadze, the Head of the regional Government of Georgia’s western city of Adjara, on Wednesday opened a stand promoting adventure tourism in the region on fairgrounds of ITB Berlin, a major international tourism fair showcasing Georgia as its Host Country.
Tourism and investment opportunities of Georgia and its Black Sea region were introduced to visitors of the launch event, with Rizhvadze highlighting the double-digit economic growth and dynamics of tourism recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.

He also noted expectations for both hosting increasing numbers of tourists and ensuring economic trends for the current year were “even more ambitious and positive”.
This year’s edition of ITB Berlin is running under the theme of “Infinite Hospitality” and showcasing Georgian tourism destinations, culture, cuisine and performing arts to visitors from 180 countries.

The National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara, City Hall of capital Tbilisi, destination management organisations and the United Airports of Georgia are involved in highlighting the country’s tourism potential at the event.
ITB Berlin started on Tuesday and will come to an end on Thursday in the German capital.
