Georgia’s National Security Council, chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, on Tuesday discussed the global and regional security environment, including the current hostilities in Ukraine and the challenges facing Georgia, as well as ongoing processes in Georgia's Russian-occupied regions, the Government Administration said.
Ministers and law enforcement officials attending the meeting reviewed the process of updating the national-level conceptual documents, referring to the country’s Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment document and National Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy. The final draft of the Border Management Strategy Action Plan for 2023-2027 was also approved by the attendees.
The decision to hold the National Cyber Security Forum in 2023 was made at the meeting, and the participants also discussed the preparation process for the reform in the field of critical infrastructure protection.
