Ties between Georgia and Korea were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and members of the Georgia-Korea Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Korea.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations, with the officials highlighting the “increasing cooperation” at the parliamentary level, the Georgian Parliament’s press office said.
They also reviewed the Nenskra Hydropower Project in Georgia’s north-west, which involves investment by K-Water, a Korean-based corporation.
The implementation of the project will “greatly contribute” to the deepening of relations between the states, the sides noted, in addition to fostering interest of Korean companies in Georgia and contributing to projected talks on a free trade agreement between the two states.
