Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Slovak counterpart Rastislav Káčer on Tuesday signed a protocol on cooperation between the foreign services of the two countries that “strengthens Slovakia’s practical assistance on Georgia’s European integration path”.
The document aims to strengthen the cooperation between the foreign ministries and embassies of the two countries, and confirms Slovakia's “effective assistance” to Georgia on the latter’s path to European integration, the Georgian foreign office said.
The protocol also recognises the European perspective of Georgia and expresses support for its “strategic goals” of becoming a full-fledged member of European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
It also emphasises the readiness of the Slovak Foreign Ministry to cooperate with the Georgian side in order to “support and encourage” reforms for joining the European Union, including the sharing of Slovakia's experience in legislative and sectoral rapprochement.
