Paata Kalandadze, the Georgian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, on Monday said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had been given an “exclusive opportunity” to brief the ongoing World Government Summit in Dubai about the achievements of his country.
Describing the Summit as “one of the most important regional platforms”, the diplomat said Garibashvili had also highlighted his Government's plans for “further advancement” of the country.
Kalandadze also emphasised the “particular significance” of the Summit edition that came on its 10th anniversary, with more delegates in attendance compared to previous years.
Chaired by the PM, the Georgian delegation arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday to attend the event that is bringing together world leaders, global experts and decision-makers from around the globe to share and contribute to the development of tools, policies, and models for shaping future governments.
The Summit is scheduled to close on Wednesday, with Garibashvili also holding meetings on the sidelines of the event.
