The meeting noted the importance of resolving the conflicts peacefully, the Government Administration said.

The officials also stressed the importance of achieving “effective, tangible” results in the related format of international negotiations in Geneva.

They also highlighted the need to resume meetings of the Gali Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, a platform facilitating talks between the Georgian Government and de facto authorities of the occupied Abkhazia region in the north-west.

Garibashvili thanked Klaar for his “personal efforts” in the process of peaceful resolution of the conflicts on the territory of Georgia, and “once again” confirmed the commitment of his Government to the policy of their peaceful resolution.
