Traffic movement has already been opened for motor transport on the 11 km long, four-lane section of the Grigoleti-Kobuleti bypass highway, with the works “actively underway” for the remaining 3 km of the main road, which is to be completed next year, the Ministry said.

The body also noted that the highway construction project was being implemented within the European Investment Bank's loan agreement, worth ₾228 million ($84 mln).

The Samtredia-Grigoleti road will be connected to the Kobuleti bypass road, with the traffic moving from Grigoleti to Kobuleti via the high-speed highway, the Ministry added.
