Representatives of the United States Embassy in Georgia joined the country’s military and law enforcement professionals for the first Defense Attaché Charity Run on the weekend, with the event aimed at supporting injured servicemembers, the Embassy said on Monday.
The diplomatic representation said its officials joined the run near Lisi Lake in Tbilisi to support the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation, and noted it “honoured and respected sacrifices and service of [...] Georgian warriors”.

The event came on the initiative of the Tbilisi Defense Attaché Association and was also joined by participants from Tbilisi Running Club and other volunteers.
The Foundation said funds raised from the run would be used for their beneficiaries over this year.
