Ruling party head, EU Ambassador to Georgia discuss European integration

The cooperation between Georgia and the European Union was discussed on Wednesday by Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party and Paweł Herczyński, the EU Ambassador to the country.

The conversation also touched on the European Commission’s recommendation last week for the European Council to grant Georgia the EU membership candidate status, and the officials reviewed the plans for the implementation of new recommendations outlined by the Commission.

Kobakhidze thanked Herczyński for his support and emphasised that the Ambassador had made “a significant contribution” to the positive decision by the Commission on Georgia’s candidacy, the Georgian Dream press office said.
