The current agenda of cooperation between Georgia and Sweden was reviewed on Thursday by Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Ulrik Tideström, the Ambassador of Sweden to Georgia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the exchange of high-level visits and further development of bilateral relations between the countries, with the officials expressing their readiness to “actively” work in this regard in the future, the Foreign Ministry said.
The steps taken by Georgia on the European Union integration path and the reforms carried out were emphasised at the meeting, also highlighting the special role of Sweden [as the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 January to 30 June 2023] in Georgia’s accession process to the EU.
