Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Chair of the Human Rights Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Saturday said he was glad to see “more and more people believe” that Georgia with its potential and capabilities “is a very important player” in the implementation of international missions.
Commenting on Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s remarks at the Paris Peace Forum, Sarjveladze said the country’s PM had emphasised “very important factors” that determined Georgia’s international authority, the country’s significance, including in the international security architecture.
Yesterday Garibashvili featured in a panel discussion of the Forum, where he stressed his Government was a “supporter” of peace amid the ongoing conflicts, crises and wars in the world. The PM is visiting France at the invitation of the French President Emmanuel Macron.
