Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday welcomed the European Commission’s decision to recommend the European Council to grant Georgia the membership candidate status.
In his remarks at a panel discussion at the Paris Peace Forum, Pashinyan stated the Commission's decision was “important”.
First of all, I would like to welcome the European Commission’s decision to recommend granting Georgia the [membership] candidate status. This is very important. I wanted to officially congratulate my Georgian counterpart after the decision of the European Council [in December]”, he said.
The Armenian official wished Georgia “every success” on its European Union integration path.
