Georgia was highlighted in Sommet De L'elevage, one of the largest exhibitions of the livestock industry in Europe, as an Honoured Guest, the Ministry of Agriculture said on Thursday.
Held this week in Clermont-Ferrand in central France, the fair was opened by Georgian Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia, who noted the exhibition gave Georgian manufacturers an opportunity to learn about the best production practices, technologies, innovations, and opportunities for productivity growth.

Deepening trade relations between our countries will be important and will benefit not only farmers, but also the industry as a whole, [and] each participant of the livestock production chain, which will directly affect the economy”, he said.
The exhibition brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors, including members of cattle breeding associations from Georgia, who introduced Georgian production to participants and visitors. A conference about the country was also hosted.
