Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, on Friday hailed the relations between Turkey and Georgia as being “at an excellent level”, following a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili on the sidelines of the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament in Dublin.
In his remarks, Kurtulmuş stressed his country’s Government supported Georgia’s territorial integrity.
Relations between Turkey and Georgia are at an excellent level. We will continue to maintain our excellent relationship by strengthening our efforts”, the Turkish official said.
Kurtulmuş noted the “very good” meeting with Papuashvili emphasised the “importance” of security in the South Caucasus region.

“Turkey supports the territorial integrity of Georgia and our excellent relations will continue to develop with the positive efforts of both countries”, he continued.
The official also stressed his Government’s intention to maintain the friendship between the two countries.
