Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Monday said Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, would visit the country this week.
In his remarks over the visit, Garibashvili noted the Government would provide the European Union official with information on the implementation of the bloc’s conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status later this year.
Garibashvili also added a meeting of the EU Integration Commission of Georgia would be held later today to discuss updated information from state agencies on their progress on tasks related to the country’s European integration.
