Heavy precipitations might cause “significant increase” in water levels - National Environment Agency

The National Environment Agency on Saturday said the expected precipitation in Georgia in coming days might cause a “significant increase” in water levels.

The Agency noted that the increase could cause floods on small rivers, as well as activation of landslide-flood processes in mountainous areas.

From Saturday evening to Monday morning rain, lightning, hail and wind are expected in most parts of Georgia, the statement added.
