Georgian athlete Badri Kavelashvili on Saturday became the vice-champion of the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships 2023 in Duisburg.
The 27-year-old Canoe Sprint athlete Kavelashvili claimed the silver medal at the tournament, racing the 200-metre distance in 35.364 seconds, losing to the Lithuanian athlete Arturas Seja.

Another Georgian athlete Zaza Nadiradze also performed at the Championship, finishing fourth in the 200-metre distance race.
Germany is hosting the World Championships from August 23 to August 27, which is also a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
