Euronews, a network operating in 160 countries and 17 different languages with over 400 million viewers, will broadcast a promotional campaign for Georgia's Black Sea city of Batumi with its visitor destinations, cuisine and more.
The regional Adjara Tourism Department on Friday said Euronews would broadcast the promotion to “millions of viewers in various parts of the world” in September, as part of the popular travel programme Explore.

The programme will showcase ecotourism destinations, folklore and Georgia’s 8,000-year-old tradition of winemaking in its shows.

The Department hosted a visiting crew from the media platform for filming of the city and Mtirala National Park, a protected area in the region. Master classes of traditional cuisine in the locality, folklore performances and opening of a traditional qvevri clay vessel for wine storage were also included in the visiting group’s agenda.
The programme will follow a two-month promotional campaign for the region that was run by Euronews this year to showcase travel services on BBC and Germany’s Deutsche Welle outlet. It also comes after tourism agencies, journalists and bloggers from Europe and Asia have been hosted in Adjara in the Department’s promotional tours over the recent years, with 500 professionals hosted throughout 2022.
