Lasha Zhvania, the Georgian Ambassador to Israel on Wednesday said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s visit to the country would “give a new beginning to [discussing] many issues”, including economic relations between the two countries and the inflow of investments to Georgia.

Zhvania noted a joint declaration on the completion of the feasibility study on the free trade agreement between the two countries, signed by Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat in May, would be the topic of a discussion during the PM's visit, the Government Administration said.

There have been fruitful relations between Israel and Georgia for years, they have been raised to a higher level over recent years, [...] This means that at the highest political level there are many issues to be discussed, many [topics] are accumulated, many are to be resolved”, the Ambassador emphasised.
