Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and the Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday highlighted “important messages and statements” made during the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s ongoing visit to China, and noted the trip would “yield specific results, with the interests of our country being taken into account”.
In his remarks over the visit that saw the Georgian-Sino relations elevated to a strategic partnership, Kaladze noted it was “important” to “further” deepen the existing ties between the two countries.
There are great opportunities in this sense - in terms of economic development - to bring more investments to Georgia, to invest more funds, to create more jobs in our country”, Kaladze said.
“We all saw what important messages and announcements were made. This will yield specific results, where the interests of our country will be taken into account and Georgian citizens will receive even more benefits”, the ruling party official noted.
Georgian and Chinese Governments on Monday shared their “commitment” to expand cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields, strengthen collaboration in international affairs and bilateral relations, and safeguard regional and world peace, stability and development together in a joint statement on establishing a strategic partnership.
